CrossFit prepares you for just about anything in life. Workouts are constantly varied, just as varied as the obstacles that come your way in life. CrossFit makes use of functional movements inside the gym so you can excel outside of it.
Functional movements include squats, deadlifts, presses, push-ups, pull-ups, jumping, running, throwing, sit-ups, and a whole assortment of body functions that we use almost daily. Whether its picking up and playing with your kids, bringing groceries inside your house, garden work, or even things we take for granted like getting off the toilet at an older age. Functional movements keep us going!
Yes! Regardless of any age or fitness level, CrossFit is for you! Our coaches will modify any workout to meet you where you are at. We coach safe movement patterns that can bring you a new life. It doesn't matter what your current fitness level is, starting is the key!
CrossFit gyms vary and so do it's coaches. At CrossFit Inspirit, our coaches' number one rule is to care for you. What that means to us is based on your development in 3 stages:
1) Mechanics- We teach you how to move well.
2) Consistency- We teach you how to keep your mechanics safe throughout the hour.
3) Intensity- Once you have shown proficiency in both, we will then and only then increase your intensity.
We use a variety of equipment, including free weights like barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, and cardio machines like rowers & bikes. We also incorporate bodyweight exercises and functional training techniques to keep workouts challenging and effective.
Our workout sessions typically last 45-60 minutes, depending on your goals and fitness level. We believe in quality over quantity and focus on making each workout as effective as possible.
Nutrition can seem complicated, however we can help simplify it for you based on where you are at and what goals you have. Some simple advice can start with just shop the perimeter of the grocery store. That's where all the whole foods are at like fruits, vegetables, protein and diary are at. Every membership comes with a food diary that you can log so we can help make you more accountable.
A simply way to answer this is by saying your mindset means everything. How you go about your day interacting with others or doing chores. That all starts with your mindset while training. Doing hard things requires the mental fortitude to just keep going. As you develop your mindset, you can develop a positive way of life that inspires you from within.
